Who We Are
Innovations for Impact Solutions (IIS) is a national think tank in South Sudan established in 2018 to fill the fundamental void of local researchers in research, policy analysis and capacity building in development, humanitarian response, peace-building and governance sectors for effective in-country contributions to South Sudan’s recovery and development processes.
IIS aims to be a reputable, credible and independent think tank in South Sudan renowned for providing research-based evidence and policy analysis to support the formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs in development, humanitarian response, peace-building and governance sectors.
Our Vision
IIS envisions itself as a centre of excellence providing evidence and knowledge in South Sudan’s recovery and development process, through timely research and evidence-based contribution to the programming of development, humanitarian response, peace-building and governance interventions.
Our mission
To foster sustainable recovery and development of South Sudan by advancing the role of research and evidenced-based programming in development, humanitarian response, peace-building and governance including in policy processes. We do this through provision of high quality applied research, evidence-based programming, practical policy analysis and advice, and policy focused dissemination and discourse. We also undertake capacity building activities through trainings and hands on skills sharpening for program staff and policy makers.
